Built around ownership

Your server. Your data.

One purchase, your own installation and no mandatory cloud account. My Magnetar has no subscription, advertising, telemetry or tracking; you control the server and the data stored on it.

A clearer workflow

Review. Save. Send.

Review detected hashes, magnets and shared links, spot duplicates and save items for later. Send selected items individually or in batches, then find them again in searchable send history.

Connected where it matters

Organised locally. Synced securely.

Organise items into local folders, browse supported provider libraries and use My Magnetar from mobile or desktop browsers. Connect the Magnetar extension to keep Saved, Sent and Organised folder information synchronised.

Provider credentials remain local to the relevant installation or device where applicable.

Private server operation

Your server. Your control.

Use an administrator login, review health and installation information, and export or import configuration. Included scripts support backup and restore of project data; downloaded files are backed up separately.

Remote access is your deployment decision. Use Cloudflare Tunnel, Tailscale, WireGuard, a VPN or a properly configured HTTPS reverse proxy. Direct router port forwarding is not recommended.

Initial release environment

Installation requirements

Requirements below are taken from the RC4 customer documentation. Support is limited to the tested platforms listed here.

Docker

Docker Compose v2.24 or newer. Use Docker Engine on 64-bit Linux, or Docker Desktop on Windows and macOS.

Platforms

Linux x86_64 or arm64; Windows x86_64; macOS x86_64 or arm64.

Network and port

Internet access is required during the first image build. One available TCP port is required; the configurable default is 8732.

Magnetar extension

Use a supported Magnetar extension. RC4's tested release target is version 2.2.10.

Storage

Application data uses a project-scoped Docker volume. Downloads use a configurable host directory. Capacity depends on your library and downloads; RC4 specifies no fixed minimum.

Backups

Keep secure, verified backups of the application data and configuration. Back up downloaded files separately before updates or removal.

For access outside a trusted LAN, use HTTPS and access controls. Do not publish port 8732 directly to the internet.

Frequently asked questions

What is My Magnetar?

A private, self-hosted web application for adding, reviewing, saving, sending and organising supported provider content. It runs on your server and works with the Magnetar ecosystem.

Is it a subscription?

No. My Magnetar costs €9.99 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription or recurring charge.

Where is my data stored?

Application data is stored in your installation's Docker volume, with downloaded files in the host directory you configure. Arrcee does not host your My Magnetar data.

Does it include a debrid or provider account?

No. My Magnetar supplies no media or provider account. It works with supported provider accounts that you configure and remains subject to each provider's requirements.

Do I need Docker?

Yes. The initial release requires Docker Engine on supported Linux systems or Docker Desktop on supported Windows and macOS systems, plus Docker Compose 2.24 or newer.

Can I access it remotely?

Yes, when you configure secure remote access. Use established self-hosting tools such as Cloudflare Tunnel, Tailscale, WireGuard, a VPN or a properly configured HTTPS reverse proxy. Direct router port forwarding is not recommended.

Does it work with the Magnetar extension?

Yes. Pairing the Magnetar browser extension connects Saved, Sent and Organised folder information. RC3's tested extension target is version 2.2.10.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Use the responsive My Magnetar interface in a mobile browser and connect it with Magnetar Mobile as part of the supported workflow.

Can I back it up?

Yes. Included backup and restore scripts protect the project-scoped application data and configuration. Downloaded files must be backed up separately, and backups should be stored securely.

What updates are included?

Updates released within the current major product version are included. Future major versions are not guaranteed to be included.

Can I share the purchased ZIP?

No. The customer ZIP, package contents and licence may not be shared, uploaded, resold, redistributed, sublicensed or made publicly available. You may create private backups for your own use.

Are refunds available?

Refunds are provided where required by applicable consumer law. Contact support for genuine purchase, download or installation failures. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
